High Rock Lake Results
High Rock Lake – February 2019
The third stop on the BASS Youth NC Western Series was February 16, 2019, on High Rock Lake! The anglers were met Saturday morning with blistering wind and rain that was followed by dropping air temps throughout the day. After take-off, teams almost immediately started checking in and loading the boats on their trailers. By lunchtime, almost half the field had headed home which left the door wide open for remaining teams to take the win.
The remaining teams did exactly that! Out of the 45 or so teams that fished, only 9 teams ended up weighing in fish. From China Grove MS, for the third tournament in a row, Garrett Christy and Jake Ross won the tournament on the Jr High side and overall with four fish for 18.85 with a big fish of 6.05! On the High School side, from McDowell High School, Tyler Rector and Brison Skeens won with three fish totaling 14.32 lbs anchored by tournament BF weighing 6.07 lbs! High School 2nd place was Bryson Perry and Ethan Fesperman from Carson High School with four fish weighing 12 lbs even. High School 3rd place was Harrison McCall and Carson Palmer from Badin Bandits club with 11.77 lbs!
