Finally!! Our last stop of the regular season on the 2018-2019 BASS Youth Western Series was one with amazing weather. We had a total of 35 teams come out to fish with us and the teams were met with a beautiful 60 degree spring day with high skies unlike the rainy season we’ve had thus far. The anglers soon realized they were going to be sharing water with other local tournaments for the day and needed to find a special stretch of bank to themselves in order to catch some nice fish. That’s exactly what our guys and girls did! Most of the fish weighed in were caught on reaction bites such as crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
We had some repeat winners and some new ones as well! Winning the tournament overall from the MS division once again was Jake Ross and Garrett Christy from China Grove MS with 11.91 pounds! From the HS division, our 2nd place team was from Riley’s Catch! Anglers Tanner Loren and Sam Westall brought in three nice fish for 10.88 pounds and won big fish of the tourney with their 4.09 kicker! 3rd place team came from South Caldwell High School anglers Justin Eggers and Alex Tunstall with 8.20 pounds!
