Brackett & Smith Win Riley’s Cup Event
We had a great turn out at our 2018 Annual Riley’s Cup! The event was held on October 28, 2018. In years past, we held the event on Lake Wylie but decided to move it this year to Lake Norman due to capacity and overall fishing quality. We had 57 High School and 2 Middle School teams join us! Our winners on the High School side came from Freedom HS anglers Daniel Brackett and Wesley Smith weighing in 11.31 pounds. Our winners on the Middle School side came from China Grove MS anglers Garret Christy and Jake Ross weighing in 4.27 pounds. Our overall Big Fish winner was Jeremy Dellinger from North Lincoln HS with a 3.36 largemouth!
The event was incredibly enjoyable for all involved. A collective positive response has been recorded from all anglers, families, and volunteers. We want to extend an enormous thank you to our special guest for the weekend, 2014 Bassmaster Classic Champion Randy Howell and his family! Randy was our keynote speaker at the angler check in meeting Friday night at Elevation Church LKN campus. Randy also served as our MC for the tournament weigh in Saturday afternoon!
