Patterson & Huey Take The Win On The Tar
Washington, NC – October 20, 2018
The second event of the 2018/2019 season for the NC Bassmaster Junior & High School Series (Eastern Division) took place over the weekend on the Tar/Pamlico Rivers. Teams launched from the Masons Landing Wildlife access around 7:00 AM and returned for the afternoon weigh-in at 2:30PM.
Alden Patterson and Judson Huey took the top honors with their five fish limit that crossed the scales at 9.94 lbs, earning the duo maximum points toward end of the year points accumulation. For their win, the both anglers received matching plaques signifying their accomplishment.
Logan Fulcher, fishing alone during the event, managed to fill the runner-up spot with an impressive catch of five fish that weighed in at 9.16 lbs, including the event lunker that tipped the scales at 3.55 lbs. For the second place finish, Logan received a plaque for his effort and was also awarded with products from Z-Man Fishing for landing the event lunker.
Dorien Scott and Nick Setliff settled for the third position with a nice catch of 8.27 lbs for the day.
Aubrey Whaley and Cody Ennis filled the fourth spot with their catch of 6.28 lbs, while Zach Nicholson and Tanner Twiddy rounded out the top five with their catch of 5.81 lbs. Also, just so everyone understands how dedicated these young anglers are….Every single team weighed fish!!! Congratulations to each and everyone of you.
All anglers in attendance were rewarded with a pack of quality hooks provided by Penetration Hooks.
The next event for the Eastern Division will take place November 10, 2018 on Kerr Lake. This will be an open event and all youth under 18 are welcome to attend.
