Lake Tillery Results
We had a great start to the year! Around 70 teams came out and fished with us to kick off the 2019-2020 NC BASS Youth Western Series of tournaments on Lake Tillery. The anglers were immediately met with warm temperatures that turned quickly into a HOT September day. The fish didn’t hold back on showing up though! Numbers weren’t in play but quality bass were brought in to the scales.
On the High School side, Jake Monti and Alex Coggins from Lake Norman Charter kicked off the season with a win weighing a five fish limit for 14.83 pounds! Second place came from newcomer Gaffney High School’s Hunter Vinesett and Zach Mccraw weighing a limit for 11.29 pounds. Third place was secured by Hunter Keller and Daniel Brackett from Freedom High School with a limit worth 9.84 pounds. The Big Fish award was secured by a 4.81 pound pig from Freedom High School’s Reed Johnson and Trey Cuthbertson. Taking the win for the Middle School division was Hunter Alexander from Rowan County Youth Fishing team weighing in 5 fish worth 8.29 pounds!
Thank you very much to all our sponsors that include but are not limited to Clifton Larson Allen, Scott Clark Toyota, Elevation Church, and Favorite Fishing International. We are looking forward to the next event on Lake Norman in October!
